Past TRIAD Updates  

TRIAD is growing. We now have 25 members. We held the 2nd Annual Military, Business and Community Expo was held in April and are already making plans for the next one.  The 3rd Annual Expo is scheduled for March 25, 2010 at the Ventura County Office of Education. Please mark your calendar now and plan to join us for a bigger and better Expo.

Our Workforce Development Committee now represents all major stakeholders and is developing workforce development strategies to address current and future needs of NBVC and its contractors. They are also working on plans to help NBVC retirees to transition from government work.

The Tech Innovation and Transfer group continues to grow and a number of companies are in discussions to either work together on projects or work with NBVC.

In the Homeland Security/Disaster Preparedness arena we have moved forward on several fronts. We conducted several workshops for businesses on preparing for disasters. Bill Buratto, TRIAD Executive Director, spoke at the Governor’s Homeland Security Conference and served as a member of the Sheriff’s Emergency Management Taskforce.
