The Green Coast Alliance (GCA) is a regional strategy to leverage public and private assets and natural resources to stimulate innovation, entrepreneurship and job growth through research, business incubation, private investment, focused workforce development, targeted economic development and policy development. The GCA will focus on the emerging green economy including, renewable energy, and other technologies that promote sustainability as well as public engagement in the process of “going green.” It will facilitate the transformation to a more sustainable economy and environment in Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo Counties and Monterey Counties.
