May 30, 2008 - The First Annual Navy, Business & Community Expo is scheduled for May 30, 2008 at the Ventura County Office of Education's new conference facility in Camarillo. The purpose of the event is to provide a forum that increases awareness of Naval Base Ventura County's impact on the County among business, civic leaders and the community. Program highlights include Rear Admiral Hering as the keynote speaker and the Workforce Investment Board will present the findings of the 2007 Naval Base Ventura County Economic Impact Study. There will be exhibits from many of the NBVC tenant commands and local defense contractors as well as workshops on "How to do Business with the Navy". Oct 17, 2008 - VCEDA’s 38th Annual Business Outlook Conference is VCEDA’s premier event and typically attracts between 250-350 business and community leaders from throughout Ventura County.
