Keynote Speaker: Tavi Udrea, Director of Human Resources Operations, Haas Automation, Inc.
Camarillo, Calif. (Jan. 6, 2012)– According to the Small Business Administration (SBA), nearly 96 percent of consumers and over two-thirds of the world’s purchasing power reside outside the United States. Tavi Udrea, director of human resources operations for Haas Automation, Inc. in Oxnard, will discuss global marketplace opportunities that exist within our local economy as the keynote speaker at the 15th Annual Meeting of the Economic Development Collaborative-Ventura County (EDC-VC) and 63rd Annual Installation of Officers of the Ventura County Economic Development Association (VCEDA). The event is 3-7 p.m., Jan. 19 at Spanish Hills Country Club, 999 Crestview Ave., Camarillo.
“The Go Global, Stay Local theme of this year’s event is to encourage area businesses to explore or expand global opportunities. Haas Automation has a significant international presence and area companies can learn from the company’s success related to global initiatives,” said Bruce Stenslie, EDC-VC president/CEO.
During his tenure at Haas Automation, Udrea created a training program for 1,200 employees, implemented global technical training for distributors, and launched a leadership development program for managers and supervisors. He provides global strategic leadership for the company by planning and implementing organizational development plans and programs.
